Halloween is on it’s way! Summer has faded into a distant memory, school’s now in session, and fall is in full swing! Halloween offers many fun opportunities to enjoy family time in the fall. So, whether you like spooky and scary fun or prefer milder and kid-friendly ghosts and goblins, check out the fun, family friendly Halloween activities Southern California offers for everyone!
- Boo at the LA Zoo: The LA Zoo offers these family friendly and fun festivities throughout the month of October. You and your family can explore the zoo’s dark caves and learn about how some animals adapt at night to be able to see and move around in the dark, touch some of the zoo’s scaly and crawly creatures, or meet some of the spookiest animals in the zoo. And, on the weekends in October, you will also be able to enjoy festive storytelling, pumpkin carving demonstrations, arts and craft activities, and a graveyard safari!
- Lite Frite at Monster Manor 2015 – This non-scary San Diego tradition is great for younger kids. Lite Frite at Monster Manor is held Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26 from 12 until 4pm. This is a kid friendly, NON SCARY attraction designed for ages 2-10. Families will take a journey through the attraction in search of fun, adventure, and most of all CANDY! All scary monsters, ghoulish ghosts, and spooky spirits have been put away to make way for maximum Halloween fun and minimum scares! Monster Manor also offers more scary activities for older kids and adults throughout the Halloween season.
- Knott’s Scary Farm: There’s a ton to do at Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park, with 1,000 monsters, 11 mazes, 2 shows and more than 13 rides spread out over 160 acres. The park is open Wed-Sunday nights from 7pm until 1-2am (check site for specific hours) so you will have plenty of time to explore and be spooked.
